Iranian Women’s Diverse Presence in Post-War Nightly Gatherings

One of the most striking features of Iran’s nightly gatherings during the war and in the period following the ceasefire has been the visible presence of women with remarkably diverse styles of dress and hijab. Images and reports from these gatherings have shown women wearing the traditional chador alongside women with loosely worn headscarves and, in some cases, women appearing publicly without a headscarf at all.
